HEALING ARTS VETERINARY CENTER

Hope Animal Cancer Clinic

Overview and Mission

The Hope Animal Cancer Clinic is dedicated to providing personalized and compassionate care for your pet. The knowledge of your pet being diagnosed with cancer can be very unsettling. Our mission is to help you and your pet through this difficult period by offering reasonably priced services that are specific to each pet’s individual needs.

Dr.Wendy Lavalle

Dr. Wendy Lavalle developed a passion for oncology after her own dog, Nickita, a golden retriever, was diagnosed with malignant melanoma. At that time, the treatment options available were not as effective as they are today. As a result of her own experience, Dr. Lavalle has developed a wide range of interests and studies that include novel therapeutics with vaccines and small molecule inhibitors, as well as improving on the chemotherapy protocols that exist today.

After graduating from the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004, she completed two Oncology Internships at Florida Veterinary Specialists and Animal Cancer Care Clinic. Dr. Lavalle moved north to attend Medical Oncology Residencies at Animal Cancer & Imaging Center in Michigan and at Animal Medical Center in New York.

Dr. Lavalle has returned to our area to start practicing veterinary oncology and will be operating independently out of Healing ARTS Veterinary Center’s facility, located in West Palm Beach.
